MOMMA
There was a time I was helpless and had no one by beside ,to hold my hand
I was so scared and lost and needed someone to understand
some days, I could hardly see an end in sight, these bars where as far as I could see
However, beyond these walls momma was fighting for me.
She didn't fight with fists she got down on her knees
Some days I could only see bobbed wire fences and chains trying to bind me up
but momma was pleading behind the walls Lord fill her cup!
Some days I was so sad and felt so all alone
I always knew momma was praying for me when I felt Gods warmth touch my soul
Every heartache that I felt I know momma felt it too , I could hear her voice "you can make it
through any weather" So I would get down on my knees and I could feel us praying together
Ever tear that I cried, I know momma cried it too, and if anyone ever messed with me I always
knew momma sent her angels to protect me and see me through.

This poem is dedicated to my loving mother who was with me through the storm
